What the job is about:

The Health & Wellbeing Coach Co-ordinator and will work closely with the Health and Wellbeing Manager and is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of Reed Momenta health programmes across a specified region to agreed quality standards. They will be responsible for delegated and short term cover based delivery of the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme, to agreed quality standards in order to support participants in achieving a healthier lifestyle and may need to provide administrative support for the Programme Support Team during peak time.

Your day to day responsibilities may include:

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls from/to participants across Reed Momenta’s Services
  • Conduct initial assessments with course participants, this may include finger prick blood tests.
  • Covering group/ one to one coaching session’s often short notice across South Yorkshire

Required skills and experience:

  • Experience delivering group training and one on one coaching sessions.
  • REPS Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification or equivalent; or Level 3 qualification in health improvement or promotion or public health or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 Health Trainer or equivalent); or Level 3 qualification in nutrition; or Level 3 Training qualification (e.g. PTLLS/Award in Education & Training or equivalent)
  • Access to own vehicle and willingness to travel to cover areas in South Yorkshire.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience co-ordinating a number of events/ programmes at any one time.
  • Experience of working in a customer focussed environment
  • Experience delivering health based interventions either to groups or one to one.
  • Fluency in community languages.
