WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will develop and deliver a high-quality training strategy across the business’ portfolio of government and public-sector contracts. This will include supply chain delivery, operational delivery and other critical functions such as the validation team. You will also be responsible for interpreting contractual, funding and legislative requirements and incorporating these requirements into a clear training strategy and delivery plan. The role consists of designing and incorporating appropriate resource that is suitable for a portfolio of contracts and designed for specific audiences which will engage, inform and ensure that requirements are communicated fully and effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery to include a variety of methods (face to face, individual, group, presentations, webinars for example) . • Assess results and how to report on successful delivery. • Attend implementation meetings and understand contractual & operational requirements. • Interrogate and understand provider, contractual and funding guidance • Planning and promoting courses, training to operational staff, supply chain and other functions via distribution of training content, schedule of activity. planners, attendance at team meetings, road shows etc. • Design and manage training timetables. • Designing a training strategy that supports the business in ensuring performance is delivered and that requirements to achieve this are understood. • Ensuring a training element is fully designed and embedded for both new contracts and improving existing provision.

Professional Experience:

Essential Criteria: • Exposure and understanding of contractual requirements within provision/services commissioned by government bodies. • Experience of the development and improvement of a Training Strategy and associated support frameworks. • Experience of contributing to the design and training of process and contractual requirements through the interrogation of contractual guidance and operational working methods. • Experience of providing a high-quality advisory and guidance service to internal customers. • Demonstrates a high level of business and commercial awareness. • Experience of working in a collaborative manner with operational teams, whilst maintaining independence, integrity and confidentiality. • Willingness to work away from home base, as required (this will mean staying overnight) Desirable Attainments: • Exposure and understanding of contractual requirements of at least DWP or ESFA provision. • First degree qualification (or equivalent) obtained in a literate and analytical discipline. • Experience of IT systems design and implementation. • Exposure to compliance, audit, or quality functions with high profile Government contracts.
