The role

A Compliance and Quality Assistant supports the Compliance Department with ensuring the business adheres to policies and procedures relating to each programme’s requirements. You will also be ensuring that quality improvement activities are embedded throughout the programme to make sure that the quality and performance on the programme improves. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: • Answering queries and explaining process to staff, in line with agreed guidance and process manuals, ensuring mutual understanding and agreement to proposed actions. • Ensuring that material is understood and that extra support is provided if necessary on a face to face or training basis. • Ensuring that the company conforms to the key items of contractual compliance and Quality. • Assuring the integrity and quality of data/information entered on electronic systems via a range of sampling and verification tools and through, from time to time, direct confirmation with third party stakeholders.

Skills & experience

Required skills and experience: • Intermediate knowledge of Excel; and intermediate knowledge of other Office packages. • Ability to work under pressure to short timescales and multi-task a variety of competing activities concurrently, managing expectations of all parties adequately in the process. • Demonstrated ability to rapidly assimilate and work with complex procedures and processes and be able to explain elements of these clearly and simply as required to customers or other parties. • Exemplary attention to detail, in particular when processing large volumes of information • Previous high level telephone or face to face customer service experience.


Desirable Personal Attributes: • Experience of working in the welfare to work sector • Experience of engaging with a variety of seniority levels both internally and externally and across different organisations • Understanding or experience of Compliance and Quality Improvement processes and activities.
