What we do


The Reed family of companies prides itself on being expert in employment support services. This includes Reed Specialist Recruitment, the UK’s largest family owned recruitment business and the UK’s largest careers site, reed.co.uk.

Reed in Partnership started in 1998 as one of the first Welfare to Work providers in the UK with one office in Hackney. Since then we’ve grown and diversified into a business employing over 400 employees, across various contracts delivered from more than 20 UK offices. To date our employment services have assisted 140,000 people into work.

Our aim is to the partner of choice for developing people and their communities. Our support is often delivered under challenging circumstances and we pride ourselves on our ability to break down barriers to change people’s lives for the better.

We currently run a wide variety of innovative services including employment support, business support, preventative health and youth services such as careers guidance in schools and the National Citizen Service.

Varied and Interesting Work


Working at Reed in Partnership is never dull. The diversity of our business offers employees the opportunity to work on a variety of different services throughout their career. In fact we actively encourage our employees to seek out new experiences within our business, believing change is not only exciting but offers our employees the opportunity to develop and progress.

In a front line role, such as an Employment Adviser, this means that you’ll be working with different people every day. This could include people looking for work, schools and their students or local organisations and stakeholders who contribute to the success of our services. Many of our services involve some form of outreach, so you won’t be chained to your desk either.

If you work in a support capacity such as Business Development or Marketing the varied and changing nature of the services will challenge, stretch and develop your abilities and offer you great variety in your day-to-day work.

Professional Development


We are proud of our culture of career development and are keen to support career progression across the company. A significant proportion of our management and support team are home grown including our Operations Director who first joined as an Employment Adviser. Beyond progression into management and support functions, we actively encourage and support our employees to develop and progress whether that be by moving into new services or into roles you might not have considered before joining Reed in Partnership.

Where relevant to the role, we offer full study support for industry recognised qualifications such as an NVQ level 5 in Management for our Managers. We also offer matched funding of up to £500 for any professional development that leads to a recognised qualification.

If you are looking to challenge and develop yourself in other ways we also offer a Personal Development Fund of up to £500 matched funding to learn any skill that you want - from scuba diving, to a new language or even driving lessons.

Our induction and training schedule will give you a comprehensive overview of the sector and the service you will be working on, this will be followed up by a range of coaching sessions and support once you are in the office.

We are also offering those new to our sector who are undertaking frontline roles, the opportunity to complete industry recognised qualifications to develop their knowledge and capability within the sector.
